New Billboards Go Up in 16 States Highlighting Massive Price Hikes as Job Numbers Tank

EMBARGOED FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026 AT 5 A.M. ET.

WASHINGTONThursday, August 20, 2026 – Today Home of the Brave grew our Sticker Shock Summer advertising campaign with a $1 million expansion that includes more than 300 new billboards across 16 states. These billboards highlight how the Trump administration’s policies have sent prices skyrocketing as the economy sheds jobs.

The billboards can be viewed here, and media are free to use these images with credit to Sticker Shock Summer / Home of the Brave. We will now have 430 billboards across Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

This campaign is rolling out as the administration posted abysmal jobs numbers, with 23,000 jobs lost in July. It also comes amid a spike in prices on beef and other essentials that Americans rely on to feed their families. Economists agree that these price hikes are being driven by the tariffs and Iran war, both of which the administration is sticking to—meaning that prices are likely to remain high for the foreseeable future.

We first launched our Sticker Shock Summer campaign in June as a $15 million education and mobilization campaign. It is a project of Home of the Brave, which exists to educate Americans on the real-world consequences of this administration’s policies, and to highlight what bravery looks like in defense of American democracy.
